Dad’s Easy Hot Fudge Sauce

You know those days where you have a crazy craving for chocolate but only cocoa powder in the house?  That happened to me this weekend.  I googled “cocoa powder and powdered sugar,” and lo and behold, this amazing recipe popped up on Tasty Kitchen (thank you, Pioneer Woman, for creating this haven of goodness).  After making a single batch of this over the weekend, I quadrupled it to have some in the fridge.  This comes together so fast, and the best thing is that there’s no stovetop required!

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk (or heavy cream, or whatever milk product your heart desires!)
4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup cocoa powder
3 cups powdered sugar

Warm the butter and milk in the microwave until the butter is melted.  Add the vanilla, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar.  Mix until smooth.  That’s it.  Seriously.  I mean, just look at this goodness.

Now enjoy some amazing hot fudge!

Yield: approximately 2 cups
